ABSTRAK This study aims to determine the motivation of physiology, sociology, and self-actualization of farmers in verticulture development carried out in Jagalan Village, Kapanewon Banguntapan, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. This study was done in November 2020 to July 2021 using quantitative methods. The data from the study were presented descriptively with the sampling technique using total sampling through interviews and questionnaires. The results of the study show that physiological, sociological, and self-actualization motivations are included in the moderate category with the percentage of achievement of each being 72.51%, 73.23%, 62.50%, and has an average of 69.41% so that the self-actualization motivation of KWT members need to be improved through outreach efforts. Based on the results of counseling on optimizing yard land with verticulture technique of hose irrigation system, it was found that there was an increase in knowledge, attitudes, and skills of 15.56%.
