ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the factors that influence farmers' interest including income, education, experience, age, and commodity prices on the business of biopharmaceutical seeds at Putri Mulia’s Women Farmer Group, conducted from February to July 2021 in Trihangggo Village, Gamping Sub District, Sleman Regency. The sample used was 30 respondents who were taken by the saturated sampling using the census method. Data obtained by means of interviews, questionnaires and observations then analyzed using multiple linear regression statistic. The results of the study showed simultaneously the variables of income, education, experience, age, and commodity prices have a significant effect on the business of biopharmaceutical seeds. Furthermore, partially, the variables of age and commodity prices have a significant effect on the business of biopharmaceutical seeds in the Trihanggo Village, Gamping Sub District, Sleman Regency. The results of the study is then constructed into a design of farmer empowerment and counselling is conducted on 16 people on June 17, 2021 with the evaluation result show increas in the aspect of knowledge by 46,70%.
