Abstract This study aims to determine the correlation between farmer behavior including knowledge, attitudes, and skills with the application of agricultural machinery (rice transplanter) which was carried out from February 2021 to July 2021 in Kebakkramat District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java Province. The method used is a combination method (mix methods) with a sample that is determined by proportional random sampling as many as 30. The data collection method is carried out by observation and interviews using questionnaires and then analyzed using descriptive analysis and Spearman Rank correlation statistics. The results of the study showed that the application of a rice transplanter in Kebakkramat District was in the moderate category, namely 58.77%. The results of the Rank Spearman correlation test for aspects of knowledge (X1) and attitudes (X2) showed a significant correlation with a moderate level of closeness and the value of the correlation coefficient (0.606), (0.653) while skills (X3) showed a significant correlation with a strong level of closeness (0.710), then simultaneously knowledge, attitudes, and skills showed a significant correlation with a moderate level of closeness (0.673). (X1X2X3) at a confidence level of 0.05. Efforts are being made to improve the application of agricultural machinery (rice transplanter) by empowering farmers through outreach activities using the seed box system rice nursery material for planting using a rice transplanter which was carried out on 17 people on June 18, 2021 with the evaluation results showing an increase in skills of 39.61 %.
