Abstract

ABSTRACT The research aims to get information of farmers behaviour on the application of pair rows plant system in corn (Zea mays L.) which was carried out from December 10, 2020 to June 24, 2021 in Tuksono Village Sentolo Sub District Kulon Progo Regency. Survey method was applied for the research with 35 respondents specified proportionally random sampling. Location determinated purposively. The data collection technique was used direct interview with quistionnaire. Obtained data analyzed by descriptive analysis and correlation by Rank Spearman Correlation. The result of this research indicated that farmer knowledge had 93,6% percentage, farmer attitude had 96,1% percentage, farmer skills had 93,5% percentage and farmer application had 92,13% percentage. Based on correlation analysis, there was strong and significant correlation between knowledge on application an attitude on application. There was very strong and significant correlation between skills on application and behaviour on correlation. The design of farmer empowerment about corn pair rows plant system benefit was held by counseling of 10 people on June 24, 2021. The result of the counseling is raising of farmer knowledge and attitude until 21,13% percentage. Keywords : Application, Attitude, Behaviour, Corn, Jajar Legowo, Knowledge, Skills
