ABSTRACT This study aims to determine and measure the level of motivation of members of the women's farmer group towards vegetable cultivation with a hydroponic system in the yard in Wirokerten Village, Kapanewon Banguntapan, Bantul Regency, DIY. Vegetable cultivation is currently very necessary to meet the family's vegetable needs so that the teeth are fulfilled. Based on secondary data, Wirokerten Village is one of the villages that does not have a harvest area for vegetables and is one of the villages among 8 villages with a large enough yard area to cultivate vegetables. One thing that is done in vegetable cultivation is a hydroponic system. The hydroponic system can be carried out on limited land and without using soil. Hydroponics is known for its very expensive cultivation costs, for this reason, hydroponics is made with simple ingredients so that it can be done at home. Cultivation with a hydroponic system is carried out in order to increase the knowledge and skills of farmer women's groups and can add insight into cultivation with agricultural technology. This study measures the level of motivation which is divided into physiological motivation, sociological motivation, and selfactualization motivation by taking a sample with means of saturated sampling of 22 KWT Amanda members and analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques. The results of the study of physiological motivation, sociology and moderate selfactualization on vegetable cultivation with a hydroponic system with a percentage of 77.27%, 76.96% and 63.63%.
