ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the correlation of knowledge, attitudes, and skills of farmers on the application of organic fertilizers in rice plants. The study was carried out from February to July 2021 in Banyuraden Village, Kapanewon Gamping, Sleman Regency with 37 farmers as respondents who were obtained by propotional random sampling. The method of data collection was carried out using questionnaires and interviews. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and Spearman Rank correlation statistics. The results of the study showed that partially and simultaneously there is a strong correlation between knowledge, attitudes, and skills towards the application of organic fertilizers with moderate level of closeness and a positive direction of correlation. The empowerment design was made based on the results of the study with aim of improving farmer’s skills in making compost from cow dung and how to apply it. The results of the counseling to 15 people on June 18, 2021, namely improvement in skill level by 51.34% or from 46.44% to 97.78%. Keywords: Knowledge, Attitude, Skills, Organic Fertilizer, Rice.
