ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the relationship between age, education level, farming experience and land area with the adoption of fruit fly pest control technology. The study was carried out in December 2020 – June 2021 in Donomulyo Village, Kapanewon Nanggulan, Kulon Progo Regency. The type of study used is a quantitative study, with data analysis in the form of descriptive and correlation analysis. Data analysis used Spearman Rank correlation. The results of the study showed that the control of fruit fly pests in the female farmer group was still low at 42.07%. The results of the Spearman Rank correlation test for age (X1), education level (X2), farming experience (X3) showed a weak relationship with the correlation coefficient value (-0.290), (0.276), (0.209) while land area (X4) showed the relationship between which is very weak (0.069), then in terms of age, level of education, farming experience and land area shows a very weak relationship (- 0.002). Efforts are being made to increase the adoption of fruit fly pest control technology by empowering farmer women's groups by controlling fruit fly pests using yellow sticky traps.
