ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the significant relationship between farmer behavior and adoption rates in optimizing yard land through the Mataraman Lumbung program in Purbayan Village, Kemantren Kotagede, Yogyakarta City. This study was conducted from December 2020 to July 2021 at the Purbo Asri Farmers Group using a quantitative descriptive method. The selection of sub-districts and farmer groups was carried out by purposive sampling, while the sampling of respondent farmers used saturated samples. The type of data used is primary data and secondary data as supporting data. Methods of data collection using interviews and questionnaires. Primary data was processed using descriptive analysis and then analyzed using correlation Rank Spearman. The results of the descriptive analysis showed the lowest score in the skill aspect and included in the medium category (75.00%). Then the results of the correlation analysis show that there is a strong and significant relationship between farmers' knowledge and the level of adoption in optimizing their yards, there is a moderate and significant relationship between farmers' attitudes and the level of adoption in optimizing their yards, there is a moderate and significant relationship between farmers' skills and adoption rate in optimizing yard land, and there is a strong and significant relationship between farmer behavior and adoption rate in optimizing yard land.
