ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the influence of the factors that influence farmers' interest in cultivating horn bananas (Musa corniculata J. De Leureiro). The study was carried out in January to May 2021 in Karangtengah Village, Imogiri District, Bantul Regency. This study uses quantitative methods. The sampling technique used is probability sampling. Data obtained by interview and using a questionnaire then analyzed by descriptive analysis techniques and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of descriptive analysis showed that the response of farmers to farmers' interest in banana cultivation was included in the high category with a percentage of 88%, while the results of multiple linear regression analysis of internal experience factors (X1) partially had a significant effect on farmers' interest in horn banana cultivation (Y) because tcount (2.602) > ttable (2.052) with a significance of 0.015 <0.05, meaning Ho is rejected. However, other internal factors, farmers' income (X2) and land area (X3) have no significant effect. Meanwhile, simultaneously each independent variable obtained df of 5, and the value of Fcount = 1.786 While Ftable (0.05) = (5;28) = 2.56 , so that Fcount < Ftable, then Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, it can be It can be concluded that experience (X1), farmer's income (X2), land area (X3), interaction of extension agents (X4), and selling price (X5) have no significant effect on farmers' interest in banana cultivation (Y). Furthermore, counseling activities on banana cultivation according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) were carried out using lecture and discussion methods and increased knowledge and attitudes by 31.9% Keywords : interests farmers, cultivation, horn banana
