ABSTRACT This study was conducted to determine the factors that influence farmers' interest in red onion seedlings using the true shallot seed method in Pasir Village, Mijen District, Demak Regency. This study was conducted in December 2020 – June 2021. The variables used were education, farming experience, and land area. The sample used in the study was 30 respondents from onion farmers who were taken by proportional random sampling. Data were obtained by means of interviews and filling out questionnaires which were then analyzed by multiple linear regression. The results of the study showed that the education, farming experience, and land area simultaneously have a significant effect on farmers' interest in shallot seeding with the TSS method. Other results, namely partially education performed a significant effect on farmers' interest in shallot seedling with the TSS method in Pasir Village, Mijen District, Demak Regency.
