ABSTRACT This scientific study entitled "Perception of Farmer Group “Mulyo” toward the Existence of Organic Fertilizer Processing Unit (UPPO)" aimed to knew the Level of Perception and Factors of Perception of Farmer Group “Mulyo” to the existence of organic fertilizer processing unit (UPPO) in Tirtohargo village, Kretek sub district, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. The implementation started from January 2021 to July 2021. This study was a descriptive study with quantitative approach. Sample determination using Snowball Sampling method, namely 30 members of Farmer Group “Mulyo” who have participated in training and whose group has received assistance (UPPO). Data retrieval using interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis used descriptive analysis methods. The results showed that 284 technical sub variables (63%) with medium category, in economic sub variables scored 231 (64%) with medium category, and in social variable sub-variables scored 267 (60%) with medium category. In individual sub variables 184 (68%) with medium category, on the target sub variable scored 203 (75%) with medium category, as well as evaluation obtained a score of 205 (76%) with a moderate category. For the follow-up plan, there needed to be a compare study activity to the growing UPPO group and the establishment of business partner cooperation between farmer group “Mulyo” and groups that manage UPPO well.
