Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the response rate of the Sipakainga’ Women Farmers Group to chili processing innovations. It was carried out in Bontoramba Village, Somba-Opu District, Gowa Regency from February to June 2021. The research method used was descriptive with a qualitative approach with the data collection process using a questionnaire. The selection of sub-districts and sub-districts was carried out purposively, while the determination of the female farmer group respondents used total sampling. The results of the response research from the cognitive component (knowledge) are in the medium category with a percentage of 69.7%, the affective component (interest) is in the high category with a percentage of 82.50%, the affective component (willingness) is in the high category with a percentage of 81.11% . To increase the response of women's farmer groups to chili processing innovations, empowerment is needed. One of them is by conducting counseling about chili processing innovations as a solution in overcoming price fluctuations when the harvest is abundant. Based on the results of the counseling that has been carried out, it shows that there is a change in behavior from 63.33% to 95.93%, or an increase of 32.59%.
