Abstract

ABSTRACT Suci Eka Safitri This study aims to determine the internal and external factors that affect the marketing development of the rice seed business of Gapoktan Pandowo Mulyo, Pandowoharjo Village, Sleman District, Sleman Regency and determine the strategy that becomes the priority of the business. Data collection methods used are interviews and questionnaires to 25 respondents. From the results of the study, it is known that the total score for internal factors is 2.95 and external factors is 2.54. This value is used to determine the position of the business using the IE Matrix and the result is that the rice seed business is in cell V, namely the position of growth and stability. with a strategy of market expansion and product development. Determination of business position is also carried out using the SWOT quadrant with the X-axis value of 1.6 and the Y-axis of 0.94 so that it is obtained in the 1st quadrant position, namely the aggressive strategy. The SWOT matrix produces 8 alternative strategies and 1 priority strategy is set using the QSPM, namely increasing the increase in internet use for promotion and expansion of the target market.
