ABSTRACT The purpose of this Final Task (TA) study is to find out the skill level of farmers in hybrid maize post-harvesting is in terms of harvesting, drying, piping, and storage skills. The skill level of farmers in handling post-harvest hybrid maize is carried out in girirejo village, Imogiri subdistrict, Bantul regency. This study uses descriptive research method using likert scale and sample determination is done by Proportional Random Sampling. The results showed that the skill level of farmers in handling post-harvest hybrid maize has an average percentage achievement of 4 components of 77.22%. The achievement rate of the harvesting skills aspect is categorized as high with a percentage of 81.39% and the lowest percentage of 80%, which is seen from the skill of pruning stems before harvesting and sorting maize. The achievement rate of the drying skill aspect is categorized as moderate with a percentage of 75.56%, which is seen from the skills in drying maize. The achievement rate of the aspect of piping skills is categorized as moderate with a percentage of 75.18% and the lowest percentage of 73.33%, which is seen from the skills in determining the maize that is ready to be selected. The achievement rate in aspect of harvesting skills is categorized as moderate with a percentage of 70%, which is seen from the skills of farmers in doing storage that maintains the quality of maize.
