ABSTRACT A study to determine the level of knowledge, attitudes and skills of farmers in the application of the jajar legowo planting system on lowland rice (Oryza sativa L.) in Karanglewas Lor Village, West Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency, which was carried out from November 2020 to July 2021. The method used was survey of farmers with a sample of 30 people as respondents determined by the Simple Random Sampling technique. Data was collected by means of interviews and questionnaires, then the data were analyzed descriptively using a Likert scale and based on the scores obtained were categorized into low, medium and high levels. The results of the analysis show that the level of knowledge with a score of 74.38% is in the medium category, the level of attitude with a score of 76.77% is in the medium category, the skill level with a score of 76.87% is in the medium category. The results of the study to develop a design for farmer empowerment regarding the jajar legowo planting system and counseling for 19 people on July 6, 2021.
