ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the physiological motivation, sociological motivation, and self-actualization motivation of farmers in the use of organic fertilizers on rice plants. This study was carried out in Tegaltrito Kapanewon Berbah Village, Sleman Regency from November 2020 to July 2021. The study method used was a descriptive study method. The results of the study show that physiological, sociological and self-actualization motivations are included in the high category with an assessment of 82.22%, 93.15% and 95.83%, respectively. Based on knowledge in the utilization of cattle waste into organic fertilizer (compost), farmers' attitudes and skills increased by 17% and it is expected that farmers can utilize livestock waste into organic fertilizer (compost).
